Graduate in Music with a mention in Musicology and Master of Arts with a specialization in Musicology from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile.
Specialized in popular music studies. His research areas include the electric guitar in Chile; local musicians and groups from the 50s, 60s and 70s; as well as contemporary urban music (Chilean trap). He is currently a research assistant for the following projects: Fondecyt 1220146 “Gender Performance in the Music of Víctor Jara”, directed by Dr. Daniel Party, professor at the Music Institute of the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile; and Fondecyt 1230421 “Cassette cultures: technology, listening and participation”, directed by Dr. Laura Jordán, professor at the Music Institute of the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso.
In addition to his work as a musicologist, he works as a guitar teacher (jazz, harmony and improvisation); session guitarist; music producer; musical director and composer at the production company Cultura Capital (2020-2022: “Stay With Me”. 2022: “Story Hunters: The Selfish Giant”. 2023: “Hit” and “Tell Me Why”). Futhermore, owns his indie trap solo project Poro.
